Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s degree in Physical
Education, Kinesiology, or a related field, Adapted Physical
Education (APE) certification, and 1 years Adaptive PE Teacher
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A full-semester contract
position is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to
provide specialized physical education services to elementary
school students. This role supports students with diverse physical
needs, focusing on tailored activities that promote their motor
skills, fitness, and overall well-being. Location: - Ypsilanti, MI
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement individualized
physical education plans for students with disabilities. - Conduct
assessments to track student progress and adapt activities
accordingly. - Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and
parents to support student development. - Maintain accurate records
and prepare reports as required. - Ensure compliance with state and
federal guidelines related to adaptive physical education.
Qualifications: - Active Michigan teaching certificate with
appropriate endorsement in Adaptive Physical Education. - Bachelors
degree in physical education or a related field. - Prior experience
working with elementary-aged students in an adaptive PE setting is
preferred. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. Schedule: -
