Job Description Job Description Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated individual to assist our Shipping Manager with daily inbound and outbound shipments. This role involves handling orders with precision and care, ensuring packages are prepared and shipped to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications. Package boxes of orders securely. Label boxes accurately for shipping. Load boxes onto a shrink wrap machine for wrapping prior to shipment. Load boxes onto pallets for shipping. Load pallets onto trucks for delivery. Essential Skills Experience in packing orders for customers. Ability to read a pack slip and package envelopes into boxes. Proficiency in using a pallet jack or forklift. Self-starter with a self-motivated mindset. Basic math skills for counting inventory and matching it to the BOL from customer orders. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with material handling and packaging. Ability to work independently without constant supervision. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large, well-lit facility with a warehouse and shipping area near the dock doors. The environment is loud and not climate-controlled, but industrial fans are provided for comfort. Earplugs are required on the floor and will be provided by the company. The work schedule is 1st Shift, Monday through Friday from morning until the afternoon. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Romulus, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
