Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

As a locum OB/GYN, you will work in a well-supported hospital setting, providing comprehensive care to obstetric and gynecologic patients. The facility handles a high volume of deliveries, ensuring a varied and engaging clinical experience. While working solo, you will have the backup of both OB hospitalists and resident physicians, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The role also involves performing ED consults for OB patients under 19 weeks, depending on the case.

Schedule and Assignment Details

This position involves 24-hour call shifts, providing a flexible schedule that allows for substantial clinical engagement. Shift start and end times are from 7 AM to 7 AM, with multiple dates available for coverage throughout the year, ensuring continuity and work-life balance. Support and Work Environment

You will be joining a collaborative team with full hospital staff support, including in-house anesthesia and pediatric services. No CNM supervision is required, and there is always an OB hospitalist available for backup, ensuring you have the support needed to focus on providing excellent patient care. The facility uses Cerner EMR, streamlining your workflow and documentation processes.

Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified in OB/GYN and hold a current Michigan license and CSR at the time of submission.
• BLS certification is required.
• Physicians need to be local to the area and have a clean background for quick credentialing.
• DEA registration with verbal confirmation at the time of name clear.
